For Biz Kidz CAO Discussion Boards
Everything Actors Need... Online!
What is CAO...
CanadianActor Online was launched on August 30, 1998, to provide informed, accurate and down-to-earth responses to questions asked by those who are new to the business of acting, to provide guidance on entertainment industry standards of ethical business practices and to provide an online community for actors living and working across Canada. Seven years later, CanadianActor Online has evolved from a basic online information directory to a full-fledged, thespian cyber-community with
21 discussion boards and more than 2,500
free information links, accessible from CAO's home page. CAO's resources, professional contacts and community connections have helped actors across Canada pursue their goals, improve their skills and survive the realities of their chosen profession -- whether they are starting out, branching out or breaking through.
Almost everyone--actors, industry professionals and fans--who visits the site bookmarks it and comes back repeatedly. Many have made Canadian Actor Online their homepage.
Especially for Biz Kidz
(and their parents…)
If you are a parent of a child performer, you won't find a more reliable, more understanding or more accessible resource. Our
Biz Kidz Discussion
Board moderator, Theresa
Tova, and our member Biz parents know the ropes. They are quick to share tips and hints that can help you and your kids enjoy their time on set more and stay safe.

Topp, Executive Director, ACTRA Toronto:
Canadian Actor Online is an essential resource for anyone seriously committed to the art and profession of acting in Canada. The site also provides something of great value in an often lonely profession -- an online community, there every day. Arthur Dent, Vancouver:
These questions…and all the emotions displayed therein, are what makes this work. TJ
Tasker, Toronto:
I've never really taken the opportunity to thank the CAO team for the amazing work you do! I really love CAO and it just keeps getting better...so...THANK YOU! Sandi Ross, Toronto:
CAO has pointed so many young hopefuls in the right direction. It's fun being on CAO! It's like having an international community! Mary Elizabeth Rubens, Toronto:
When pertinent questions or concerns arise they are dealt with within days if not hours -- sometimes even minutes. This is a huge leap in communication between actors across this country, and enables us to feel connected. Fridgebox
Fhill, Vancouver:
Thank you for providing this board which brings Canadian actors together to discuss, wrangle, preach, vent anger, hob knob, rub elbows with great minds etc. This board is a nice shelter from the sometimes cruel world out there. You are making a
difference!
Review in Playback Magazine:
Don't be fooled by the name. Canadian Actor Online may have been created with Canuck thespians in mind, but it has quickly evolved into one of the most comprehensive Web-based Canadian production resources
around.
